Betsy Wentz

Wentz founded Betsy Wentz Interior Design in 2011, although her story began over 40 years ago. In 1977, Kay Wiegand, Wentz’s mother, started a design firm working from her home. A childhood rooted in design served as on the job training, exposing Wentz to the world of interiors, colors, fabrics, furniture and planning -all of the things she’s come to love and appreciate about design. Wentz partnered with Wiegand in 2001 and a successful mother-daughter team was formed. Following her mother’s retirement, Wentz rebranded the company name, and purchased a building in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Today, it serves not only as the headquarters for her design business, but also as a showroom space and area resource. Wentz’s design work has been featured in House Beautiful, Modern Luxury, Traditional Home, Veranda, AD Pro, Flower Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Apartment Therapy and other on-line and print publications. She is a proud alumnus of the Hamptons 2018 and Kips Bay Palm Beach 2020 Showhouses. Wentz has clients throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Maine, Chicago and California. Her first book ” Design Happy – Colorful Homes for the Modern Family” published by Gibbs Smith, launches in March 2023.
