Kevin Isbell founded his namesake firm in 2009 in New York City. A decade after launch, Kevin departed for Los Angeles, where he currently resides. Isbell’s designs pay homage to the past with a modern twist that lends a fresh perspective to each of his projects. An Ohio native, Kevin earned degrees in both Business Management and Art History at The Ohio State University before moving to San Francisco, where he received a degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art. Shortly after, he began working for the renowned California designer Orlando Diaz-Azcuy. In 2001, he relocated to New York City and became Senior Designer for Celeste Cooper, where he worked on projects from pied-et-terre apartments to Palm Beach estates. In early 2005, he joined Bilhuber & Associates as Design Director leading numerous projects from Montecito to the Caribbean. Fueled by his love of travel, Isbell artfully merges his clients’ personal artifacts with his own inspiration, derived from worldly periods and cultures. The result: an emotive space with design elements that are at once elegant, timeless and utterly livable.
“If 2020 has taught us anything it’s that our home needs to not only be nurturing and cozy, but also demanding flexibility for all to spread out all while maintaining some privacy. Because of this, we will start to see a move away from open plan living and more toward designated spaces for these particular functions.”
