I explored several creative paths before fully committing to interior design. As a literature major, I began my career in writing. At the same time, a longtime hobby in the performing arts gradually became a full-time pursuit, as a musical theatre actor and an a-cappella performer. After completing military service, I pursued interior/furniture design at Pratt Institute and began my professional career in the field. Somewhere along the way, my curiosity led me back into academia to study animal behavior and conservation. It wasn’t a linear path, and none of these chapters feel independent. Each experience — writing, performance, science – became part of who I am and continues to shape my approach to design.
