This September, Wexler Gallery is excited to present a special exhibition in collaboration with art advisor Jessica Arb Danial and interior designer Kati Curtis. Together, we will explore the intersection of art collecting and interior design through a curated, immersive environment. This exhibition explores the relationship between fine art and interior design, challenging the conventional hierarchy in which art is chosen last.
Jessica Arb Danial will curate a selection of fine art drawn from the gallery’s roster of contemporary artists, alongside important blue-chip works from our collection. In response, Kati Curtis will design a domestic-style interior installation within the gallery, creating a richly layered setting that reflects how thoughtful design can be shaped by—and elevate—an art collection.
Scheduled programming: We are planning to hold a panel discussion between Kati and Jessica with the gallery moderating.

The new curation reimagines Merida Studio’s exhibition, Crossing Lines, by expanding beyond the interplay of function and form through the installation of purely sculptural works. The pieces draw on the parallels between the artists’ abilities to elevate material and recontextualize how rugs and sculpture are perceived through their collective presence.
Through diverse silhouettes, dimensions, and materials, a rug can be perceived as a painting, while a small sculpture evokes a sense of monumentality. Join Merida Studio and explore the overlapping paths that artists and designers take through their material journey and timeless aesthetic.
