These are designer-builders, not designer-marketers. Each brand owns its means of production, designs and manufactures under one roof, and is founder-led or family-led across generations. Boyd has a metal shop, Hilliard a bronze foundry and glass studio, Altura a wood workshop. Each one literally builds the thing it designs, in-house — which is vanishingly rare in a trade where most “American-made” brands are assembly operations or design houses outsourcing fabrication. The panel makes that distinction visible to designers and reframes three familiar line cards as institutions.

Architect Jeffrey Dungan and interior designer Sean Anderson share something harder to schedule around: a belief that a house should hold feeling, not just function. During What’s New What’s Next, they will be in conversation to discuss how shape and form have influenced their approach to design and photography, and how photography can influence the way we experience interiors. The discussion will be moderated by Elizabeth Fazzare. Join us in our showroom for an evening of conversation, followed by champagne and canapés. Robin Broadbent is a British-born, New York-based photographer whose work reimagines everyday objects, exploring their geometry, texture and line. The evening marks the launch of a new collaboration between the two. Broadbent has photographed Tom’s work, presenting it in a way you have never seen before, creating a set of three unique, limited-edition photographs. They will be on show during the event and available to purchase. Come and see them alongside Tom Faulkner’s iconic designs.

A conversation around collaboration, craftsmanship and what can happen when ideas are given the time and space to evolve. With an eye on design, this discussion extends beyond interiors alone — to culture, collecting, legacy and the value of slowing down. Introducing designs created in tandem with Dan Fink and Young Huh respectively, Danielle Collier and Tim Butcher will join these A-list interior designers (and dear friends) to discuss the mind as archive, the power of the hand and how they’ve come together with creative intention, in studios and workshops from the US to the UK, to create something new together.

In “More Than a Monograph,” Anthony Freund, Editorial Director of 1stDibs’ Introspective, moderates a compelling conversation exploring the deeper narratives that shape these books. Architect Richard Beard will delve into how his work fosters a profound sense of belonging and place, while Joan Craig of Craig & Co. champions the vital role of artistry and craftsmanship in her practice. Rounding out the panel, Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry from Pulp Design Studios will share their highly personal approach to translating a client’s lifestyle and unique wishes into livable spaces. Together, this group will reveal how the process of publishing a first book ultimately sharpens a creative perspective and solidifies a design legacy.
