Sherrell Neal is the founder and principal of Sherrell Design Studio, a Houston-based interior design firm known for creating timeless, livable homes that reflect the rhythms of everyday life. Guided by both creative intuition and technical expertise, Sherrell brings a rare combination of artistic vision and practical insight to every project, honoring how her clients live while elevating the spaces they call home. Her approach is rooted in observation, care, and clarity. With a background shaped by hands-on experience in her family’s remodeling business, Sherrell developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship, proportion, and the emotional impact of a well-designed space. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Houston and is an Allied Member of ASID, a reflection of her ongoing commitment to excellence and connection within the design community. Although born and raised in Houston, Sherrell’s design sensibility is deeply influenced by her family’s Southern Louisiana roots and the summers she spent there as a child— where family, tradition, and a sense of place shape the meaning of home. Her work reflects a sophisticated mix of old and new, marked by thoughtful restraint, refined detail, and an intuitive sense of balance. Her thoughtful, process-driven approach has earned her the trust of long-standing clients who return time and again, drawn to her integrity, insight, and enduring style. Since founding Sherrell Design Studio in 2016, Sherrell’s work has been widely recognized throughout the design industry. She was named a House Beautiful Next Wave Designer and a Luxe Interiors + Design Next In Design recipient, and her expert insight and award-winning projects have been highlighted by respected publications including Architectural Digest, HGTV, The Wall Street Journal, and Cosmopolitan, among others. Away from the studio, Sherrell can often be found gathered around the table sharing meals and stories with her family, as she embraces the everyday comforts that make a house feel like home.
