Sara Bengur

For Sara, multiculturalism is more than a design ethos, it’s simply her life. Brought up amidst an international milieu in Washington, DC; Istanbul, Turkey; and Maine, her signature love of color and east-meets-west eye are more inborn instinct than acquired aesthetic. Now based in New York City, Sara brings the world home to her clients. Her sensitive design approach takes a genuine interest in the everyday details of her clients’ lives, translating their desires into unique homes that are truly their own. Since founding Sara Bengur Interiors in 1993, Sara’s projects have included residential and retail interiors all over the country, including New York, the Hamptons, Connecticut, Maine, Florida, Montana, and the French West Indies. Her work has been featured in prestigious titles such as Elle Décor, The New York Times, and Architectural Digest. She is also the recipient of numerous design awards, and ranks among House Beautiful’s coveted “America’s Top 125 Interior Designers.”
