Abigail Marcelo

Abigail began her Interior Design journey as a teen after watching Extreme Makeover : Home Edition. While earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Technology in 2010, she began her 10+ year career in the NYC Interior Design high-end residential field. Abigail founded Casa Marcelo in 2020 as a response to creative burnout + a lack of representation and work/life balance in the NYC Interior Design Industry. As Abigail began her entrepreneurship journey, she rediscovered her passion for Interior Design, working with unbounded creativity and providing optimal customer service. Her favorite part of design is imagining and exploring the potential of a home through sourcing, at the very beginning of the process. She is inspired by nature, historical architecture and design explored during travels, and family. Abigail is a wife, and mother to a 4-year old and a 1-year old son. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, ‘me-time’ and discovering new music.
