Alison Rose Headshot

One of designer Alison Rose’s earliest memories is spending her formative years in the pioneering workspace of her mother at the museum of natural history in new york. The museum was a place where dramatic vignettes inspired fantastical environments; where alison could surrender to time and became captivated by the influence of space. Having the privilege of access to the inner sanctum of this museum gave Alison a starting point to design by observation. Since then she has honed her creative sensibilities by looking beyond the ritual of process and focusing on the individual. Alison’s tailor made designs allow a visual narrative to be formed specific to each project. With a foundation working in both architecture and interiors, Alison formulates true connection between the physical space, the inhabitants, and the objects that can live within. Environments created by Alison rose are sophisticated backdrops to experience life in and amongst. As a creative visionary who obsesses about even the most minute of design details, Alison’s innate ability to juxtapose unexpected materiality, both architecturally and in her contemporary custom furnishings, inspire a masterful and continuously expanding body of work. With a dedicated passion for luxury living and century old artisanal techniques, Alison has built a strong foundation for her own design collections, working with metal, wood, marble, lush suede and leather that live in a place of timeless authenticity. Her vision has continued into a new material: marble. Having designed a striking and globally acclaimed tile collection for artistic tile, which premiered in NYC in 2019, ‘The Euclid Collection’ showcased Alison’s distinct vision for inspired design: a combination of strong graphics and exquisite materials with her bold interpretation. ‘Euclid’ delivered a versatile product with infinite possibilities, placing the collection as a nycxdesign award honoree. This expanded to another collection with artistic tile designed by Alison, ‘Zephyr’ which received the interior design best of year award, winner of the boutique design competition: best wall covering and a nomination by the créateurs design awards for best design collaboration. Her most recent collection, Sfera, adds a missing element, one hinted at in both Euclid and Zephyr – the full circle. Expanding her vision to textiles, Alison’s collaboration with Misia Paris of the Casamance group, Euphorie Cubiste, is inspired by the linear fashions of the early 20th century. This jacquard fabric collection explores the structure of shapes with focus on modularity and geometry. “Collaborations are at their best when they explore new territory, pushing each partner to discover ideas and experiences that they’d never arrive at on their own.” Alison will be launching her eponymous new collections in 2023.
