The daughter of an interior designer and a civil engineer, Melissa Hall Simmons inherited an ability to combine the creative and practical sides of design. Growing up, she watched her mother work closely with design clients while her father built homes, so when the time came for Melissa to design her first house, she was able to apply a lifetime of familiarity with the process. Melissa’s first design project, her own home, was featured on the cover of At Home in Arkansas magazine in 2008, and since then, she has worked with a growing list of residential and commercial clients, been featured in numerous design publications, and grown her design business to a team of seven and counting. Now, Melissa has two children of her own, Harlowe and Henley, and two bonus children, Caroline and Charlie, in whom she hopes to instill the same creativity, practicality, and entrepreneurial spirit she learned from her parents.
